Historically i had Parimova but i am currently using Liberon Fine Wood Stripper (of Some vintage) Axminster have a product on line, are there any other suggestions.
P.S. i mentioned they were post war, of some that i have cleaned some appear to be constructed of mixed woods!

I missed this one.
Having done a lot of table restoration for the wife, I have had to use paint stripper on most of them. Really dangerous chemical, apart from the smell also burns like hell.
I just buy what is available locally at the big store.
Mixed woods was a feature of that older furniture, which they then covered with thick brown varnish.
The one table I had to do some staining to get the legs to match the top.
My finish is BLO and then waxing.
Not tried the cling film yet, will give it a go on next stripping job.
