Painting new (very dry) plaster

Hang up your Chisels and Plane blades and take a load off with a recently turned goblet of your favourite poison, in the lounge of our Gentlemen's (and ladies) Club.

Painting new (very dry) plaster

Last couple of rooms. Plastered several years ago.

Would you guys still use a mist coat or go the whole hog and use a wall plaster primer ?
If opportunity doesn't knock, build a door.

You've not finished a room, Roger, have you? ;)

Yep, mist coat. Buy the cheapest paint you can find, or use it as an opportunity to use up some old paint you've been storing away for a rainy day.

Size the plaster. Stinks, but works; seals it. Nuttin, an' I mean nuttin', you put on afterwards will: dry patchily, take off pieces of plaster, dry in ridges.....
