From the sink to the drain in every case unless there is a problem
I think the answer you are seeking is which ever way it wants. Experiments show that it can be started in either direction and will maintain that direction. Nought to do with hemispheric location.

Interesting that you class the double slit experiment as trivia.

I was on the spot, it was the first thing that came to my head (which says more about me than it probably should)

most of what's in here isn't really trivia though. :D

Sorry a bit late responding to Andy. If I am meant to be asking the next question:

What was the first America’s cup race, raced around?

I should have gone with my first and fatuous guess when I first saw the question this morning!

When I looked it up, amazingly I was correct!!

Andy P, you are absolutely correct it was raced round the Isle of Wight. In fact it is the only time it has been raced in British waters as the winning club gets to host the the races next time and the British who started it have never own it!

Having since read up on this I doubt my answer is correct, the race around the IoW was actually for the Royal Yacht Squadron’s 100 pound Cup in 1851. The yacht America won and took the trophy back to New York. The trophy was then renamed to honour the yacht and the first true America’s Cup was then raced off New York in 1870.

So I guess you want another question?

Yes Pete.

Very much vermin around here. They usually build there burrows in the banks of the drainage ditches around the marais. The banks then collapse under the weight of the grazing cattle.
A pair have taken up residence in some ponds at the end our road. These are drainage ponds collecting the water off the surrounding fields and dry up every year so Mr & Mrs Coypu will need a new home soon.
