Dunno how you guys are doing but for the best part of May, we've been back in winter clothing. I can't recall a colder, greyer, wetter dismal May. :(

It hasn't been bad down the pointy end, today's a bit grim though.

I think it depends which part of the country you are referring to. I'm in the South Midlands where it has been good on the whole although the last few days have been unsettled.

Our summer was several weeks late in arriving, and although day time temps are now about where they should be, night times are still cooler than I would like.
Friends and family in somerset are not happy with their lot. :eusa-whistle:

Have been wearing my shorts for about a month now, only the odd day where it has been cool enough to warrant getting out the long trousers. Has been pretty wet though

Wet, grey and cold in Salisbury. No need to put the heating on of an evening, but it's defo a thick fleece instead - Rob

Well I not going to elaborate on the two day heatwave here in Pennsylvania, just say it was too hot to do anything much in the workshop. Ian

Not been too bad around the Cheshire area. I'm generally in shorts and flip flops from April-October regardless, but it's been pretty warm in the main, with a few chillier days and the odd bit of rain, but not much. In fact I've been asking for rain because our football pitches have been like concrete for about 6 weeks!

I know I am on the continent....

We have had, these passed couple of days, the first rain for over a month. Not particularly cold.
I do not think therefore I do not am.

cheers

Short memory chaps.
Last year it rained virtually nonstop in may. The reason I remember is that we had a new lawn ( turf) and I didn’t have to water it once.
I agree that it isn’t too warm this week although I am out in my t shirt between the very brief showers.
Beginning of may , my water butts were empty, but they are all brimming at the moment.

Depends on where you are as IIRC we had a very dry May last year ! Or maybe it was April

Around here,
Last year, March and April were very dry, gardening was difficult.
This year was a similar pattern but less extreme.
