Audio streaming issues via wi-fi

My suspicion is that you're almost certainly having roaming issues, either AP's roaming to each other to create the mesh or at least a connection back to the router Wi-Fi, OR, the aggression of roaming of your end device(s). We had a similar thing in work a couple of years back and had the ability to dial back to roaming aggression settings on the laptops, but we also looked at and implemented a change to the timeouts on the AP's to ensure they held onto connections just a little longer to stop the aggressive roaming behaviour.

Good point...I came across this somewhere or other while researching. Defo worth thinking about more. Key thing I think is to get the workshop repeater wi-fi'd directly to the router

Two faults.

First , RAF Spadeadam

Second, the signal between R Study and Workshop is too poor. I tried repositioning the main router to see if the signal would wiggle its way through the small opening in the wall. No cigar. So will probably try the Ubiquiti out of the window at the back of the house and see if that improves things.

Good plan, the solution to this will be all about positioning and testing. I'll say it even though I know the answer...you should be doing EVERYTHING you can to get cables between the router and as many of these Wi-Fi devices as you possibly can, by whatever means necessary...

Buy a Sony Walkman.

Do they still make such things, I wonder?
