Project Wendy2

The place to be to discuss Scrolling and other artistic forms of Woodbutchery

Project Wendy

Postby Phil » 17 Jul 2021, 11:36

I have been very quiet lately - first it was the Estate budget and as that was completed and approved I went straight into financial year end.
(somewhere in between I restored a coffee table and repaired a half round table - will post some pics)

Project Wendy

Why Project Wendy?

Wendy is our neighbour a few houses away. She asked the wife if I could maybe make some stuff for her granddaughter, Angela, to sell (educational exercise)

Normally I would not even entertain something like this as I commit myself to someone else’s timeline.

Deadline date 24th March 2021.

However …….. Wendy is my supplier of pecan nuts (at no cost), so shut up and get cracking.

What to make in limited time?

Look into the template and ideas box for something easy to make, cut and paint.
What is in the stock box?

First out some Xmas tree serviette holders, six units and 2 different designs.

Some hearts purchased

Hearts - I visited the local Crazy Store looking for some cheap paint brushes. They had these machine cut hearts, 5 to a packet, for ZAR13 So I bought all their stock (2 packets) These were sprayed white and red, 5 each and then the inside heart was painted the opposite colour. They all had holes drilled for attaching some ribbons.

25-HeartExample.jpg
(22.84 KiB)

26-HeartsDone.jpg

Finish was acrylic painted by hand or sprayed.

The wife was delegated to doing the ribbons and beads, she is far more creative than what I am.

Thank you for reading

Hello Bob

Thanks for the merge. I split it as there are more than 20 fotos. (been there once before! :( )

The Title is fine, thanks.

The trick to fix the photo limit problem is to reply to your own thread (rather than start a new one) to add the next batch of photos.
