I watched that. My wife keeps bees and has made turps based polish before (I mainly use it for lubricating brass screws), but I might have a go at making some BLO based stuff. I think she has a few blocks of wax somewhere…

It might make a nice Christmas present if it’s any good.

M/C wax (if you can find it) or carnauba makes a harder polish beeswax. Beeswax tends to mark very easily.

What surprised me is that he used 20% beeswax to 80% BLO - I make my own polishes and find that 5% wax is about right, 20% being far too hard to be usable.
