New oldbie!!

Postby Squib » 12 Nov 2021, 12:29

Hi all,
I was a member here before but can't remember my name or login!! Age you know.
I follow along here often and also the other place.....so I am using my name off the other place and thought it was high time to jump back in.
I am a boatbuilder who has moved from Cornwall to the highest point in Shropshire and have a workshop making 'stuff' from joinery, furniture, glamping cabins and anything strange.
I recognize many on here and enjoy the very diverse posts...keep on or from Cornwall ' get on ! '.
Squib.

Welcome aboard squib. I have no doubt your boat building knowledge will be thoroughly probed in the not too distant.

Welcome Squib.

I’m guessing that the highest point in Shropshire must be a fair way from any boat launching facilities.
I do not think therefore I do not am.

cheers

I assumed it was the top of the first Ess, or maybe one of the Aitches.

Welcome, Squib, and congratulations on getting out of Cornwall. Gives me hope my exile could end one day.

I am up on the Brown Clee, I still spend time in Cornwall although my traitorous children have defected to Plymouth, ;) I do miss it but not the traffic.

You mean escaped, not defected. :) When I lived in Devon we used to call Cornwall West Devon.

No doubt the inhabitants of Dorset call Devon West Dorset.

It's a moot point these days, as it's all turning into Surrey.
