• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Well, that day didn't go to plan.

Try and avoid any NSAIDS pain killers if possible. They are for very short term use. They stuff up the kidneys.

    American Ash

Nice! What will you do with it? American Ash is very nice to work, dense, mostly straight grain and heavy. It weighs 650 - 850 Kg/m3 I used it on this project https://www.thewoodhaven2.co.uk/threads/treads-for-metal-staircase.9950/#post-166321 And then some offcuts on this project...

    Bandits have arrived!

Scott they have been around for more than a week. Just chased them away again. I now have to replant some pots, one orchid and other succulents. I will need to move them to the metal table top. Even the tall pots are'nt safe. Mike not sure where they hide and breed. There are one or two units...

    Bandits have arrived!

Ok, not type of bandit. But the banded Mongoose have arrived, Mungos mungo. Banded mongoose - Wikipedia en.wikipedia.org A large troop, gave up counting at 30 as they kept on dodging in and out of the flower beds. They are quite destructive around the pot plants, digging up or tipping over...

Mike, glad you are over the op and into recovery, although a long time. Will you manage the stairs or sleeping on the sofa? Look after yourself.

Picture frame stand - second one

Second stand Not wanting to start another thread, so just tag onto this one. The first picture stand turned out good and useful and when that was completed I cut and planed some Pine for a second stand. First one is on the dining table with photo of the kids. While shifting some offcuts the...

    Printing

Our Canon MF230 has a small screen for errors etc. Easy to read. It is also connected to the WiFi and sits in the spare room. We can both print from our laptops via the WiFi. No tablets. Not sure if wife can print from her fancy smart phone :D It is also a scanner and copier.

    hacked debit card

Fully agree, BUT bank uses a series of number. I normally wait for the second call. E-mails not an issue. Gmail and Hotmail are very good in isolating mails to Spam. I still check the Spam folder as some valid e-mails also end up there.

MG, hope it all goes well for you and a speedy recovery. Just take it easy.

    hacked debit card

I have had numerous attempts made at fraud on my card via phone calls from "Bank Fraud Department". I just ask how much are you trying to steal today, end of call. Only once did I hot-foot it to the Bank and have the card cancelled and new one issued. Of greater concern is the hacking of...

FFS Mike, that is not good. Look after yourself, you are not getting any younger. Hope your recovery is successful. Physio and more physio. (Someone mentioned a ladder. Can we start a Go-Fund-Me to buy you one?;))
