• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I use it every night, but we never watch TV in there and pretty much only use it between midnight and 9am.

I'm just wondering whether one mounted at the apex of our bedroom gable, which has no security lights and faces out over two flat fields, with woodland to either side, might be a suitable and inviting location...

Yeah, just stating the bit I know that works well. Fully appreciate some of it might not be valid as I mention. They're definitely not a silver bullet, but as long as you know what you can/can't rely on then it's all good.

Good friend of mine went to the doc with heart concerns. Told to lose weight etc (he was quite heavily overweight, has lost a lot but still working on getting the rest off), told them his Apple Watch was saying he was in A-Fib, they told him he wasn't and to lose weight. Went to a different doc...

I've often wondered about this when I've seen them. Are they 'baited' with anything to draw the owls in? Just put in a location where owls have been seen to give them an option? Do owls naturally investigate them once erected? Basically what I'm saying is, is it complete pot luck as to whether...

That would rely on them doing some kind of research and actual journalism work...

I can't recommend any, but I may have one knocking about that I can lend you if you want? If you want one to keep for future then keep looking, but if you just want to get this job done then I can hunt out what I have (hopefully...). Let me know.

    Probably Bye for now...

It's not just that with Bezos, it's his/Amazon's exploitation of affiliate sellers among other dubious business practices. The daft thing is, a simple Google can find the same products cheaper from the original vendor, you just have to be prepared to spend a couple of mins looking, and that's...

Yep, I don't disagree with any of that Adrian. I thoroughly dislike the rabble rousing and misinformation that Musk spouts, particularly about the 'state' of the UK, of which he clearly knows very little and just regurgitates X based lies, but taking his personality aside, I like what he does...
