• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Imgur Blocking UK Users

the challenge isn't so much that, as to how to best feed that back into a forum which is continually changing - but we might have some solutions for that...

probably going to go quiet on this for a bit - but Mark and I will see what we can do as we have time to play with it...
in the future - if forum members could write really boring posts without photos - then life would be much easier :D

It appears that it's not possible to view Imgur photos from the UK anymore, unless it's a temporary problem, but more than likely it's happened as a result of the new Online Safety Act and the UK Government pressuring companies to enforce age verification on their users if their site may contain adult imagery.

A few posters and myself used to use a lot of Imgur when posting because it circumvented any site-based image size and quantity limits, so many of my older threads were purely done with Imgur images, though I have lately been using WH2's own system as it's pretty easy.

Thanks for this @Trevanion and for me too it was irritating when it came into effect. Do we have the link for Mike's long running thread as I think I briefly came across it when the images were all down. If I can fix the problem for myself, then I'd be interested in watching his thread about sheds.

As per my reply above - you will not be able to fix this issue for yourself currently as the current iteration of the live forum has links to spurious imgur images in it - not the url to the original images - it will hopefully be sorted soon...

How much of this missing content might be on the Way Back Machine ?

I was looking at an old thread of mine over on UKW and interestingly, all the images are visible, and I definitely uploaded all those images to Imgur and hyperlinked them into the thread.

It appears they're uploaded to "ImageArchive.com", must've been something they did when they took over.
