• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

How much???

It would be good to know just how many they do sell. But as I say, it's not aimed at the likes of you and me, it's aimed at people with a very healthy income and no knowledge of working wood who love the likes of you and me.

I can see some PB Swiss, Knipex and Wera stuff in there so at least it's decent quality..........

I think ill go for the lorenzi milano set, a snip at 7k. Those cheap and nasty ferrules on the screwdrivers look especially nice. I cant imagine even stupidly rich people could be that naive. It is more like an april fools

Have you seen their pocket squares? I presume this is a fancy name for hankerchiefs at €230 a pop.

5.68 Euros, that’s about 4 quid isn’t it? I’m sure I would be disabused of that when it came to pay lol.

I don't think they bother to add the usual 0.99c Ian. €5,680 Maybe fixings are gold and the leather from a sacred Hebrew caw ;)

I've just checked a pair of Nike trainers which they list at E310 ( £270 ) and that is exactly list price however you can buy them elsewhere online for £122

The only sale I can imagine would involve a very wealthy couple where the wife decides that her husband - who perhaps fancies himself as a bit of a handyman e.g. prepared to change a fuse, tighten a screw etc - should have a nice toolkit for his birthday. Said wife wouldn't know what e.g. a decent Allen Key should cost and thinks she has stumbled on a bargain.

Husband then gets the present and of course the price is not mentioned. He puts it in the garage as a just in case thing and both are happy.

I cannot imagine for one minute that anybody who has ever bought a set of half decent screwdrivers or bits in a DIY shop would even think of coughing up that kind of money. Even if you bought every tool yourself and bought a bit of walnut just to make the box, you would surely be coming out at less than 10% of the asking price. There's one born every minute, as they say.

Forget about it being tools for a moment, and compare it to say a fashion handbag - £1000's for £5 of leather and a zip because it has a designer name on it. This is a show item, not a use item. A carrier bag will hold far more stuff than a Hermes handbag, but then practicality is not the measure by which the purchasers of these types of items make a judgement.......

I keep telling the mrs that she lives in 'an owld council hoose' and buying bags of that nature is not befitting of her station.

Now if someone very rich bought the seaton chest to use that would be impressive.
