• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

    Nervous about Surgeon

Sorry to hear of your worries and concerns regarding your appointed surgeon. Id definitely be getting back in touch with him/the hospital - especially the hospital - and making them aware of your concerns. I've had three operations to my wrist/hands area: a TFCC (Tri-fibro Cartlidge Complex)...

    Pond revamp

That's the problem I'd have even with one koi Wallace, so I'm abiding by the advice from Sam at the Aquatics place. He's well up on all stuff aquatics related. Plus his eyesight is better than mine at detecting the slight variation in the colours of the tests. I've some slight difficulty with...

A nice collection there Nick ( @marineboy ). Your wife has done a grand job with the figures. I certainly got tempted a few times when visiting the dolls house shop with the daughter and wife when the daughter was uying things for it... but managed to resist. *Thankfully* we didn't/don't have...

    The Niff-Naff Cabinet; door hinging!!

I'd think it's well seasoned Rob... I've had it around 36 years 😉. Photos and sizes to follow by DM... aiming for sometime next week 🤞

Thanks Ian. Have a 4yr 8mth old grandson Ian 😊. He's been known to have a play with some of the items in there. Especially seems to like the cats 🐈 😊

    The Niff-Naff Cabinet; door hinging!!

No need for the apologies... honestly - none needed. We all get distracted. I'll try to get a couple of photos of the boards so you can zoom in on them to check (as best as possible from a photo). I'll also provide the measurements of the boards - a couple of. If the sizes you originally gave...

    Pond revamp

Looking good with the koi in there 👌 My "Aquatics Centre" won't sell me any koi for my little pond - much as I keep looking at the 'small' ones they get in. They tell me I'll (eventually) have no plants - or anything else and they'll outgrow the pond. So I settle for the 2 green tench, 5...

Just before my daughter's fourth fifth birthday (so SWMBO informs me - 1994!) she became interested in the Dolls House shop we had in Frome at that time... Based on Catherine Hill... quite steep and one of the attractions of Frome. The shop, sadly, moved to Warminster a few years later... run by...

Sympathies Rob... I can understand how you felt... but... that's a good save for sure 👌. Initially in reading my thoughts was "maybe insert/glue a plug from an offcut... but then looked closer and saw you where right on the edge of the board - a plug/insert wouldn't have worked... Lucky you...

    Project Merlin

Sorry to hear that Rob. Mine was well chuffed with hers. If I recall properly, we didn't put any furniture in it to start with when we gave it to her... but I could be wrong. She'd use her pocket money to buy things - along with some parental help - and spend time playing with it. I do remember...

A bit presumptuous of a 'new 'ish' member to say "welcome back" Pinch but... a *Welcome* from me anyway. Having gone back through your thread and seen your (then) workshop/hobbyshop area - as well as the framework put up - I'll also be following any progress you put up later. Last time I made...

Google AI gives this information when using 'lintel and header' as the search text... even going as far as to suggest it will help give 'best building practices' depending on what you're building 😎🤔 C&P (copy & paste): AI Overview Both lintels and headers serve the exact same primary...

8mm diamond drill bit recommendations sought

Roger, I've used ones available from Amazon when having to drill holes in some of the bonsai pots for (larger) drainage holes or for retaining wires to hold the trees in the pots. 20mm and 6mm... the 20mm is hollow but have slots in the side to aid clearance. The 6mm aren't hollow but appear to...
