• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I’ve always used Confirmat screws for cabinets, designed for the job & very inexpensive

    Unusual winter weather.

Never heard of a Horseshoe hare but a quick search revealed an interesting critter, the change in the colour of its fur in winter & summer just shows how incredible nature can be. 🐇

    Simple door

It just looks wrong, with that style of air vent it looks like it’s been hung the wrong way round. The top of the radiator is above the window sill which looks odd. The TRV is almost at floor board level & tucked under the radiator so inaccessible & not an ideal position for its effective...

What on earth is going on with that radiator :unsure:

    Unusual winter weather.

Hope it’s not too bad for you Scott. It’s been a sunny afternoon here first for a few days after continuous rain, took the opportunity to clean the van out & get rid of a load of pallets but it’s dropped very cold now & I’m glad to be inside though it’s nothing like -43 thank goodness

    Now now chaps!

I always believed them to be territorial but went to measure a bay window in early December & there were at least half a dozen if not more Robins all foraging in the lawn outside the bay seemingly all content with one another. I commented about it to the customer & she said there were always...

    James's shed

The answer to your question @James99 depends on the material your corrugated sheets are made of.

A lot of it is manufactured in Europe Scott, predominantly Germany, Italy & the Uk but there are other sources

    MFC - the Blade Assassin

Ive found it tends to be very small pieces of metal Steve, sometimes you can see them in the face of the cut. If I’ve a lot of MFC edges to cut that need to be really crisp I’ll use a router on the tracksaw track after I’ve cut the panel to a couple of mm over sized with the tracksaw.

    What have you "lost" today...?

Seems to be one of the joys of getting older, I never used to put stuff down & not be able to find it but I do these days. Pencils are the worse, my remedy was to get a box of 100 & put them all over the place 😂

Front face aesthetics- The Wonky Donkey Woorkshop. Your opinion pls.

I’ve a double glazed sliding patio door behind the main workshop doors to keep the heat in & stop the noise getting out, it gives me around an 800mm wide opening so basically a single sized door opening & I’ve never had a problem getting machines in & projects out in the 20+ years I’ve had the...

    Lean-to workshop pipedream

You would really need to start a thread of your own as there are so many variables to be specific, some photos of where it’s going, the roof construction & the type of steel roofing would help with answering your question.

You have to have an account but they will give an account to anyone it would seem.

Front face aesthetics- The Wonky Donkey Woorkshop. Your opinion pls.

I’d go for a door in the middle, corners are handy for storage unless you are going to have a saw etc near the entrance then it could be handy to have the door to one side or the other, then you could open it to feed timber through, it really depends on your proposed shop layout. If you want...
