• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

So it is Spring now, for me it's still Winter

I’ve grown too many seedlings for my garden! It happens every year and I never learn.

I have the same problem with my vegetable garden. I always have too much seedlings. You would think I would have learned by now. But no, I always keep thinking "What if only half of it makes it?".

But this year is special. Last year my favourite tree (Junglans Regia Broadview) was blown over by a downwind. I am not ashamed to admit I was almost in tears when that happened. However, I kept 6 walnuts, hoping I could grow them into offspring from that tree. 3 Of the 6 have sprouted this spring! You should see me when I am at home. A mother hen would be jealous... Sadly, I have to be away for a longer time to renovate our new home abroad. My wife is taking over now.

Oh yea, since that pic another four cars have stalled on the road. What are they thinking.
And probably not just stalled, water into the air intake as we all know means a seriously snaffood engine. Now if we all know that, what’s wrong with these people? And from what I see on FB it’s the same back in the uk.

I suspect that the people getting stuck in the flooded road are not locals, we know the by pass created to avert this area.
Big warning signs and panic sets in, yes I can do this. The brain shuts down.
On the way home a car was blocking the road at the warning sign so I asked, where are you going, "Kirkland Lake" I said follow me, they were very happy that I took them through the bypass. But they had another four hours drive to get there.
