• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Hi Guys,

How are you uploading images onto the forum these days?

Does the forum have its own image uploading tool or is it still Photobucket?

Yep use the forum based upload mate, ensures the pictures are hosted by us and won’t end up being deprecated by photobucket etc and I/we spent a LOT of time tuning it so it it gives the best quality images with the most efficient file sizes. ;)
 
The guide to uploading is inthe tutorial section here viewtopic.php?f=20&t=2850

Remember it is a two stage process.
Firstly upload the picture and secondly define where it appears in your text.
Without doing stage 2 the photo all pile up in an untidy heap at the bottom of your post with dotted lines round them.

Experiment using the preview and you shoulds see how you are getting on.

Well, if I got that right, it was very easy and much less painless when I used to upload with Photobucket. I seem to remember Pb was a nightmare at times.

The old firm had two i6 Irizar tri-axles and they were an absolute treat to drive and 47' long with six rear wheels including rear steer. I drove one of them down to Italy and Austria on two separate trips.

But, not quite as long as these buggers, coming in at 50'. I loved driving these Nat Ex coaches too.

Yep, I completed my last tour on 16th March and I've been furloughed since then. I feel so pleased the new firm I'm working for kept me on as I've only been with them since mid January. The future looks so uncertain. I'm not sure if I'll drive another tour this year. The coach travel industry is absolutely on its knees with so many firms going bust - even Shearings have gone into administration which is a tragedy. But, the firm I drive for has actually expanded during the pandemic and has bought out another firm, which is great for us - it shows our jobs must be secure for when we return, whenever that might be.
 
that's good to hear Paul. The whole travel/tourism industry is taking a massive hit which I fear will carry on for sometime.

Indeed it will. I really don't know how certain sectors of the travel industry can recover from this.
