• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

... but if you do, get the hell out of there rather than actually following the said police car to the roundabout, off at the same exit, left at the same junction, to somewhere nice and quiet where he can pull you over.

I was coming out of a supermarket carpark. I looked left, of course I did, I looked right, of course I did. I looked straight ahead of me. Of course I didn't. M. et Mme. Gendarme were exiting Aldi, directly opposite. I pulled out and stopped PDQ. I hadn't seen him. I'd given way, as I thought, but I'd not actually stopped.

He game me a dirty look but carried on. Instead of going in the opposite direction, he was going the same way I was and I followed him. Off at the same exit, left at the same junction. Idiot, Maskery. When we were both on a quiet road he flagged me down. He told me that I hadn't actually stopped at the Stop sign, if I had done so I would have seen him. Stop signs are Obligatoire.

He was quite right, of course, and I'm glad I didn't actually hit him. But he gave me a dressing down rather than a ticket, so I was grateful for that.

It would have been bad enough if it had been any vehicle, but a Police car - sheesh.
