• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Recovering from an op- ideas of what to do?

I'll second that. Forget supermarket fish. The Cornish fishmonger used to be very good and online but their prices have risen a lot over the last couple of years. Fortunately we have a fishmonger who gets morning catch direct from Newlyn. We can also place an order if it's something he...

Upgrading my wearing out shed - in stages on a budget

Plus you're going to have to pay solicitors fees, Land Registry charges also possibly, and also your neighbours legal fees if they dig their heels in. Bad idea IMO

    RIAT 2026

Serendipity strikes ... While Googling the route to Iford Manor, I stumbled across this place.... Previously I've 'landed' a pre-glass cockpit Boeing 747 at several airports which was great fun.

Help please with RJ45 - RJ11 cable problem

Ah, complexity. KISS…Keep It Simple, Stupid. Where are you now? Remember that en-suite? I came to the realisation that, as there were no windows, we had a very good chance of getting mould on the walls and ceilings very, very quickly. There is an extractor fan but that is only halfway up the...

Recovering from an op- ideas of what to do?

How about an OU course ? If you popped down the area that you live then you never know. Might be some forumites who could pop round or prep a bit of timber for you ?

    Of the moment …..

The brave people are the ones on Stage 1. I did think about doing one a few years back as funds were getting tight and this one offered £3000 for two weeks. Participants checked in to the research centre complete with ward(s), a community restroom, a board game's room etc as the study was 24/7...

    Of the moment …..

Indeed. There are three stages. The first stage is where the drug or vaccine is tested on humans for the first time. A small cohort of people...maybe 20-80 ...and it was at this stage that the event you're referring to happened in 2006. The company involved was Parexel...

    RIAT 2026

And as I was afraid of, thanks to the Ginger Toddler, RIAT 2026 has been cancelled. A great shame as the organisers spend ten months of the year organising it and a lot of the proceeds go to a charity.

    Of the moment …..

Ah, I was rejected for the trial as it wasn't 90 days since the end of the last one. Bit silly really as the trial vaccine or placebo was two years ago. The lead nurse of the trial just finished thought it was a bit weird of them as well but they make the rules. As it happens, there's a much...

    Battery chain saws

Chainsaw arrived and he's a meaty, man-sized chainsaw! Works extremely well and thinking about getting the 20cm as will probaby get more use out of that as a trimmer.

    Battery chain saws

I've used Aspen for years. Still makes no odds as the carb gums up.

    Battery chain saws

Many thanks to everyone for the replies. The starting point (somewhat obviously in retrospect) is what battery regime have you already invested in. In my case, it's Milwaukee. If I didn't have that investment then I'd have gone for Stihl. I'd not thought about the top handle but fortunately...

Well, that day didn't go to plan.

    Battery chain saws

Having suffered another 'stutter to go' - even after it running OK a few weeks back, I know I can stick the carb in an ultrasonic cleaner...along with the one from the hedge trimmer but that necessitates finding everything and so given deadlines I was thinking about simply getting a new one...
