• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

What do you mean by 100% integration ? If you want to tie it into Apple Health then I agree. But so what ? If accurate BP is, for you, not as important as sending data to Apple Health then go get an Apple Watch. What's wrong with using Huawei Health app on an iPhone ?

TBH Rob I don't see it as a difficult call. This succinctly gives the decision one has to make. For me, I'd only by a watch that would provide me with accurate health measurements which the D2 provides.

Rob, your money, your call but it has NOT been clinically validated to any known standard. They might claim it has but there is no evidence. On the other hand, the Huawei D2 has and has met it The Watch D2 met the ISO validation criteria for blood pressure accuracy. Mean measurement...

I only have one item on my Bucket List. To fly in a two-seater Spitfire. It was due to happen May 18 but I called it off as the cloud ceiling was too low as I wanted the pilot to do some aerobatics. But it's this Friday ...at Goodwood. I had a brainwave over the weekend though as I...

Afraid that AI you used, Frank, is at odds with ChatGPT As you may gather I'm a little bit obsessed with online medical statements without references. So I asked ChatGPT the following question... which from a scientific perspective is pretty solid. Especially when the next paragraph...

Thanks for the links, Frank, although they've messed up the alcohol link. Reading the ins and outs I think it is now debatable whether I have ever had acid reflux - silent or otherwise. Issues to do with my voice can easily be explained by nearly having my head cut off as a result of a...

    Blood pressure

I’m grateful for the timely nudge re Omeprazole…prescribed in error IMO by a trigger happy GP who also stuck GERD on my medical record despite me not having any symptoms. Think I’ll taper it off and see. Which gets me down to just three..all of which are actually needed

Routine testing as you suggest is only needed if other factors are presenting, your age, dosage etc etc

More accurately speaking….it will help reduce LDL….and especially when it replaces highly saturated fat. It is not a magic bullet

    Church Noticeboard

I see where you are coming from and perhaps Fuse could have been more clearer in his use of words but, having lived for many years in that part of the UK, I know exactly where he is coming from and it has nothing to do with churches or the congregation but rather the affinity that some other...

They stick you on tablets as something to do....well, not quite. I was on six. Down to four and one of those is omeprazole and highly debatable if `I need it. Or even should have had it in the first place.

All this prompted me to read the recent letters from my cardiologist. I saw him for paroxysmal A Fib and had a whole battery of tests. I've got a bit of mitral regurgitation - mild at echo. A CTPA scan revealed no pulmonary embolisms, a moderate coronary atheroma (I'll come back to this in a...
