• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Ah, sorry, spelling mistake; "responses". If on the other hand you are enquiring what comment was issued by the viewer, they might be summarised as: 1. Amused agreement. 2. Ostentatious fury. 3. Wry acceptance. Any guesses for the predominant one Folks?

Too true Mike; I've got big paws (ask RogerS or Lons) and I do perzactly that. I quoted D.C. with some verisimilitude to preserve the provenance of his point of view. Obviously, it doesn't hold for all human physiology and the vagaries of plane body shape. I've also got long enough fingers to...

    Jigs to aid hand planing

It's not a completely novel idea. There is a clamp-on Stanley appurtance from mid last centuary. Now sells at eye-watering prices to coll***tors. Veritas had a sexy black one in ribbed aluminium (I think) some years ago, and so on. For hashers like me that have difficulty directing their...

Beg to.politely disagree Roger. If nobody stands up, the point will never be heard. It is all-too-easy to let "the empty vessels" win. Speak up, speak often, don't let them. Nothing beats a FIRM assertion. Sam

    eBay listings and bladed items

The Head is labouring under the burden of a judgement 25 years ago, whereby ANY communication, written, digital or verbal, by a school, or employee thereof, was considered: " a legal document" (Paraphrasing). Obviously, sensible people see ordinary comms as just that, ordinary. But...with the...
