• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Can you see a fin in this photo?

I took this image from the ferry as it was arriving in port last week. While looking at it full size on the iMac I spotted what looks like a fin. Certainly not the shape of a buoy.

You may have to follow the link to see it full size on Postimage then zoom in just below the sun and right a little.

I have seen dolphins before from the same ferry .

What do you think?

Lovely photo. I can't on here the PC, but I can definitely see something on the ipad where I can expand the photo to a much larger size. It could be a fin. 8-)

Not sure that constitues seeing its body... :eusa-think:

But it sure looks much more defined that anything else in the pic...

Cheers
Mark

Yeah, I am not sure if it is just wishful thinking on my part. All the google images of dolphin fins show them being curved on the back edge which would be to the left on my photo. I also have no way of estimating the distance from the ferry and therefore the size of the "fin".
But I am going to claim it anyway. :)

Grainy, distorted images of wildlife are a speciality of mine at the moment. I also have some of a supposed bald eagle.

It looks like the fin of a basking shark. They're quite popular in the English Channel this time of year.

Sorry, guys. As hard as I tried, I couldn't see a Fin in the photo.

Nor a Dane or a Swede!
