Anything added to the milk would have to be, under UK regs as I understand it, listed on the label on the bottle n'est pas?

Unless my eyeballs are deceiving me, I can see no reference to additional added ingredients on the label. When Google was asked the question about additional ingredients as you suggest it said:
Standard skimmed milk contains no additional ingredients or artificial additives beyond cow's milk with the fat removed. [1, 2]
Composition and Processing
- Natural ingredients: Standard fresh skimmed milk lists just one ingredient: milk. [1]
- Processing: It undergoes pasteurisation and homogenisation, exactly like whole or semi-skimmed milk, but with the cream (fat) mechanically separated out. [1, 2, 3]
- Fortification: While some countries (like the US) mandate or practice vitamin A and D fortification because fat-soluble vitamins are lost during skimming, standard supermarket skimmed milk in the UK relies on the milk's naturally occurring nutrients without artificial chemical additives. [1, 2, 3]
- Exceptions: Specialized products like protein-boosted skimmed milk (e.g., Arla B.O.B) may have extra milk proteins added back in, and organic or lactose-free variants will explicitly state any alterations on the packaging. [1, 2]
So there's nowt on the label/packaging about extra ingredients. When you get the point where you have high blood pressure and high
ish cholesterol, dairy is a food that needs due care and attention. Care to have a re-think? - Rob...who had a delumptious bacon (fat removed) butty for a mid day snack on Sat!
