Called in on Dad today to show him the photos from the ATC class and before i left he had ordered three of Chris Schwarz's books from Classic hand tools. On my next visit there will probably be a tool chest some campaign furniture and a Roubo bench. I was looking forward to meeting you Rob at the class , shame you couldnt make it .

That's just amazing. I love it! It looks like something out of a science fiction fantasy film.
You could spend hours just pulling things out one by one to see what it is.
Does your dad know what everything is in there?! lol

I was fully intending to go Bern, until I saw the price of the rail ticket from Salisbury to Leamington Spa…and that was with my Senior Railcard…and when SWIMBO saw the price, she put her foot down with an iron hand (if you follow) :shock: - Rob

Dad is a joiner cabinet maker who now does a bit of pattern making,carving and turning. The box build started about 30 years ago and just kept growing .Things were in a bit of a mess today when i took the photos but he still noticed that there was one carving chisel missing.

The carving is an apple and is a catch to open and close one of the add on boxes.Part of our surname is Appel and Dad has used an apple as a signature for his work .

Hi Rod
Moving it around today to take photos we noticed the wheels have started to get a flat spot where its been standing :shock: It is heavy and it doesnt leave the shop anymore but it can be dismantled easily into separate boxes that are easier to handle.
