• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I have had a 4x4 (Hilux) in Zambia for many years now, and when I'm not building a house, tend to visit it at least a couple of times a year. I camp in the bush, and do a bit of exploring. Well, I just heard that it has been rolled.

I guess that may be the end of my little Africa jaunts.
 
It had 3rd party insurance only, and no, it wasn't stolen, it was being used legitimately by the staff of the game lodge where I have left it parked for the last 4 or 5 years. The driver hit a pothole and slid down a steep camber.
 
Mike, have you been sent any photos? Just wondering as Hiluxes are pretty indestructible.
 
They're on the way, Roger. And yes, Hiluxes are virtually indestructible, but mine is a version that has never been officially on sale in Africa, so there will be no matching body panels to be found. Most disappointing of all is that my roof tent, and my home-made canopy with some nifty tables, storage and so on, has all been trashed. Even if the vehicle is fixed (they're talking about finding a whole new body!), all my kit is going to be impossible to replace.
