• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I appreciate that this forum is not so well used, but I can only hope.

I wish to improve on an old inherited scrollsaw I have and if possible, would like to get a good condition used Excalibur 21" or 16" if anyone has one available now or soon please. Good price paid

I have not used the scrollsaw that much as I have been playing around with making bandsaw boxes since starting woodwork 2 years ago after retirement, but this year (my 75th) I would like to start making Intarsia and a good scrollsaw is needed. I hope someone can help.
Thank you

Malcolm

I would keep an eye on eBay, I picked up a very nice Delta for only £20. It was collection only and happened to be just over a mile from where my son lives.

Thanks Dave, I am looking at e-bay and there have been a couple of Hegners, but not suitable. Very old and single speed with to much to pay to convert. Keeping fingers crossed. Leaning towards an Excalibur 21 or 16 now.

All Excalibur's have been withdrawn. Axminster are to re-launch them in the third week of February as 'Axminster Excalibur Trade'.

They will be the same machines with a slight drop in price, or so I am told. I tried to buy a new one yesterday, but this cropped up. If anyone wants an Excalibur now, it will need to be the Axminster grey & red one.
