Facetime on the iMac

Anyone use Facetime on an iMac?

I was staggered and at the same time very pleased that my 82 yr old father figured out, all my himself, how to use Facetime on his iPad Air and managed to make a video call to his brother.

I also have Facetime on the iMac I would like to have it available as often as possible so that he can try and contact me without first calling me on the phone.

If I have Facetime switched on but hidden (so the video camera is not on) will an incoming call wake the iMac when it is asleep?
In the System profiler under Network Wake on Wireless is supported. Not sure if this is relevant though.

Thanks Chaps, I've Pm'd you but thought I should also update this here in cae anyone happens along.

Ok I have solved this myself.

I created a new Apple id for the iPod and tried to call the sleeping iMac. It will not wake it up. When I do wake up the iMac I do get a notification message via small pop up to advise I have missed a Facetime call.

According to the following article with an Airport Extreme Base station it might be possible.

This is a shame as when I call my father his iPad Air will ring even if it is sleeping, loud enough, even, to wake him up too if he is sleeping.
