• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Hi guy's

My Fein multi master 350 is 10 months old, yesterday whilst releasing the silicon that glued the marble upstands to the plaster board wall, it cuts out.......
It was a little warm so left it to cool down.

Now it will start up but switches off immediately.

Any ideas?

Yes I should take it back to administer.... I'm in southern Spain so don't want to send it back if there's an easy fix someone knows of.

Thanks

Jonathan

Most of these tools have a board of electronics in them these days and it is very difficult, usually impossible, to get hold of documentation to be able to effect a repair.

Given your location and Axminster's legendary good customer service. I would email them with all the proof of purchase stuff and I would not be surprised if they would ship you a replacement control PCB.

Thanks Bob, I'll call them on Monday.
I agree administer service is incredibly !

Up date...
Called Axminster and they went through various fixes on the phone, non of them worked. To my surprise they then arranged collection from Spain at there cost, fixed it, sent it back.
What a first rate service!!

In the past I've always purchased power tools locally in Spain at about 20% more than you Brits pay, thinking if they break under garantee I'm in trouble.....not any more!
