• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Good luck, DaveL

It's still early days Dave, apparently 6 weeks is the magic figure but if you think what they did to your bones during the op then it becomes evident why there's pain. I know if I hit my thumb with a hammer it can hurt for weeks. :ROFLMAO:

You'll soon be running around like a youngster.

I found that one of my friends who is the quickest cyclist I know and also has a very good camera rig for the bike did a video of the ride.
This is the last frame, and you can probably spot me, having been cat called to get up and join the rest of the club.

I have another update for you.
I went to see the physio on Thursday, he was very pleased with my progress, I only got into trouble for putting my own sock on the foot of the operated leg.
He supplied a new ferule for one of my crutches, as I had worn it down with the walking about in the garden.
He does not want to see me again unless I have a problem, can ring and get an appointment any time up until February.
I have been out in the workshop, did a little bit of tidying and sorted out one of my 3D printers, build another OctoPi to allow me to send gcode to it from my computer without needing to carry a tiny micro SD card out to the workshop, I am still hunting for a number of them as they drop into holes in the space-time continuum if you put them down.
I have an appointment to see the surgeon who did the operation in under a two weeks time, I hope then to be allowed to fully dress myself, maybe revert to a walking stick for a week or two and ride my bike, oh and drive the car.
