• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Hi All,

thought I'd say hi from behind the hailstorms in Oxfordshire as I will probably be needing some advice before long. I've lurked around here for sometime, mainly discovered this site from trying to iron out some of the details for my garden workshop I'm starting this year. Anyway hello, I'm Dave. I've been rennovating my house for the last few years so I'm hopeful I'll not make a complete hash of this workshop but I guess the uncertainty is part of the fun.

currently digging out the ground for the slab - I think I'll be doing well to just get that finished this year but you never know.

Also some screenshots of my oh-so-original workshop design I'm planning that I've definitely not ripped off from Mike G's awesome design.

The ridge beam won't be sticking out, I think an assembly cut got suppressed and I can't be bothered to fix it

That looks great. No obvious howlers there. Maybe a window or two more than you need, but it should be a great workshop. Happy to help where I can.

Thanks all, I live in a semi-detached house and don't have a garage, over the last few years I've been buying more and more tools to do various construction jobs around the hosue and now it's like a jigsaw puzzle if I need to move anything so need some breathing space! Also now I've fitted out the downstairs making sawdust in my kitchen takes a bit longer to clean up
