This hammer handle is from Stan Covington's blog, https://covingtonandsons.com/2021/02/13/the-japanese-gennou-handle-part-18-wood-selection/
I am using tiger maple for my handle I am making but as its raw maple right now it is very light wood. I would like for it once finished to look similar to Stan's pictured below. I am not sure if he used stains, dyes, colored shellac or what. What would you use if trying to replicate this color and finish?
