• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

AlthoughI I have a cheap 1/4 bit set in the house and another in the garage the workshop was lacking so having just been paid to do some woodwork last week I thought I would treat myself.



Certainly oozes quality.
 
Is a "took rebel" French slang for someone who pinches tools?
 
I've got three Wera sets, acquired through the advent calendars, and I concue they are incredibly well made and quality pieces of kit. The long bit screwdriver set is my go-to when I need to drive a screw.
 
I’ve had a Wera bit set something like this for about 15 years, maybe longer. It cost about £20 at the time at a tool show. It is my go to set but I don’t actually rate it any higher than some of my other tools. In fact a much older Snap-On screwdriver is showing less wear on the tip.

If I had to replace it I may well go for something else as Wera are expensive outside special offers.

If they do an allen key set in a driver handle like the one above I’d be interested.

Why are allen keys always at right angles?
 
They do Allen key driver bits & I also have a set of straight shanked Allen keys with T handles on.
