• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I’ve just spotted a story claiming that the air cargo industry can’t cope with the current demand for Temu goods.
I thought that the tools sold by this company had been soundly slated as poor quality, it seems that other products are so cheap they sell in quantity.

I just bought a bunch of stuff from Temu. It's the kind of stuff I would normally not spend money on the known brands. E.g. I bought some quick-clamp style guide rail clamps, drawer handle / slider jig, overlay drawer front clamps, an aluminium T-square. I will let you know what the quality is like when I receive them in the next few days!

So, here's my review:

Ratchet guide rail clamps - £11 each: Thumbs up! sturdy and easy to use. Time will tell, but so far so good. 60% cheaper than Axminster
Aluminium, T-square (woodpecker dupe) 24"/60cm: £27 Double thumbs up! completely accurate, high quality. Sadly, i bought imperial instead of metric by accident :-( . Lots if similar items on Amazon/eBay, so not a huge saving. But the branded Woodpecker one is £220!!!
Tiny aluminium T square: Double thumbs up. £7, super accurate, small, will be used for marking and calibrating my tools, e.g. Mitre saw.
Adjustable angle T-square: £8. Plastic and pressed steel. Quality is medium, but it is accurate as long as you calibrate it. Good value, but not a double thumbs up.

Drawer hole guide: Thumbs down: Flimsy, accuracy is so-so. Good value for the money, but this is one of those "buy cheap, get cheap" situations.

Overall - great value and quality! And I saved a bunch of money
