Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. Very pleased with it this year. Very high percentage of beech and oak, last year we had rather a lot of silver birch, great for starting the fire but not for holding heat. This stuff also seems quite well seasoned. I’ve not tested it but the logs do not appear to be as heavy as usual. Makes a change for the weather to be set fair for the few days it will take me to stack it.

I understand that more than half of France reactors are currently off line and edf are spending a fortune buying gas (presumably from mr putin) to keep the lecy on.
Always satisfying to see that pile transformed to 4 neat drying stacks. That one on the left might need redoing.
And 4 crates of kindling. This is a byproduct of the splitting and lorry loading process in the yard and just comes with the logs as they are tipped off the lorry.
This was bought and priced as fresh cut unseasoned. They did not feel fresh cut when carrying them and I am quite surprised to see that the moisture content measured on the cut ends is between 20% & 30%. My seasoned logs from 2020 are reading 10% & 15%. We did not have a delivery last year. Quite confident that this new stuff will be ok to burn by the year end which is good news as I was contemplating having to buy some seasoned logs.
