• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I am a bit indisposed, having had a pair of some what ingrowing toenails operated on this morning. Sitting with my feet up is already boring.

I don't envy you but it gives you an opportunity of going through several seasons of New Yankee Workshop!

I think it's hereditary, Dad had problems with his toes and my sister had her toes done a couple of years ago. I think working on my allotment weeding has brought them to the point where I had to get them sorted.

It's not currently painful, but I have to sit with my feet for 2 days, it limits what I can do to next to nothing.

Yes it was Harry Potter on TV, I bought all the DVD's second-hand and am working my way through them.

I'm suffering from temporary Peripheral Neuropathy, which will fade away in a few days.
Gives painful pins and needles if I touch or hold anything, so slightly inhibiting - the Olympics have been good to watch though. [emoji4]

Sensible, I was stuck in an airport for a couple of days a few years ago and watched the lot back to back; except I didn't have the final one because it hadn't been released. Took me another five years to get to finish the series! Watching them all back to back is odd as the actors/actresses age and the story lines get darker and darker...

If the size of the bandage relates to the amount of pain then, Ouch!

Hope you are back up and running soon.

Did they do them under local, and if so were the numbing injections amongst the worst pain you've ever felt..?

I've had my left one done twice when I was young and that is my abiding memory of it.

Cheers
Mark.

Yes under local, the pain was not as bad as when I had an abscess lanced on my index finger a few years ago. The toes where a much better experience, I think the scalpel used on my finger was not very sharp, the chap was sawing at it for some time, my chisels cut flesh like a hot knife though butter.

The size of the dressing is due to a lot of padding to soak up any leakage. I had the right one dislodge over night and an pleased to report on leak at all. The new dressing I applied is much smaller and is not such a catch hazard. I have been supplied with 2 large packs of dressings to use until I have to go back on 5th Sept to have the toes progress checked.

Well I am pleased to say they think my toes are doing OK and I don't have to go back again.
I am very happy to have my clogs on and that I can get back on my bike. [emoji41]

Good to hear, Dave. I think your mob cycled by me the other day, and I was half expecting you to stop for a chat.

Yes that would have been on Thursday, they went to Spencer's for tea/coffee and a cake.

pleased to hear you are back on your feet

I have visions of clogs with cleats. :D

No cleats on clogs, but I have just bought some new pedals. They are double sided with cleats and a flat platform allowing me to still ride in clogs if I want to.
