• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

managed a few hours in the workshop today. First time since before the school holidays.

After a few prototypes and trial and error testing I ended up with a trolley suitable for storing my daughters saddle and carting to and from the pony club.
Not fine woodwork of course but quite a few tools went into the building.

The wide board that the bracket is attached two has two functions. One to stop the back of the trolley folding forwards under the weight of the saddle and two to stop the bracket twisting sideways under load.

If I can find a small fixed sack trolley I will claim my folding trolley back but for the moment this will have to do.

Western I see ! Barrel racing next ?

Indeed David, although I had too look up barrel racing. I am no expert on all things horse but we are assured by the pony club owner that this western saddle will be of use to my daughter who has a disability affecting her legs, balance and core strength. Of course she can't wait to try it out.

Andy - reminds me of a certain person close to me , not pretty but functional .....
Steve

I agree Steve, about the saddle trolley, not the person close to you :D

This was knocked up using bits I already had. If it proves successful I will try and find a light weight but small sack trolley which can be hung on the wall so the saddle can be cleaned easiliy.
