The other day I installed an app for financial/banking/saving type product. although my phone is a model 7 running max ios15, the app store did not complain about my ancient hardware.
To start I had to give my email and chosen password, It sent a confirmation email and I clicked to confirmation link. all good.
Continuing with registration, I had to give all sorts of details and the app started crashing and returning me to the home screen. This happened at several different stages and each time I had to start again apart from entering email and password which seemed to be retained.
I message tech support and supplied a video of the problem and they have not come back to me. I left a crappy review on the app store and today they contacted me to ask for phone model, Ios version and a video. I replied but did not hear back.
In the meantime I found a web app version that would run under chrome on my win 10 lappy.
Of course I could not use the same email address/password as that had been used before - see above
So I used a new email and pwd and the registration process all succeeded and I'm using the the account, moved money in etc etc. all fine.
However I still wanted to access via my phone so I deleted the app, reloaded it expecting to be asked for the successful email and pwd but some how the app still remembers my first login and wants me to register etc.
SO my question is after deleting an app how can you go into the system to purge all retained details related to that app so I can start afresh with a new version of the app that needs a login?
Sorry this is a bit long winded but I felt the background was needed to set the scene.
P.S. The App is Trading 212 and all seems legit, recommended by Money God Martin Lewis and is recognised by my bank when I talked to them last night.
