• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Last week I ordered a box of screws from Uncle Jeff. Spax 4x16mm Pozi. Some other stuff too.

A couple of days later I get an email from La Poste saying that the package was damaged and they were sending it back. Grrr.

Amazon says "Potential delivery issue" and then, after a few more days "Undeliverable". OK so they will refund me and I order again. Except...

The box of screws that last week was €6.93 is now, wait for it, over €16. Today it has come down to a mere €15.81. Exactly. The. Same. Product.

How on earth does that make sense?

I would expect it to be the same in the EU as in the UK that the seller is bound by contract law to arrange redelivery of your order. You made an offer by ordering online, they accepted it by issuing a confirmation of your order, there was clear intent to enter into a contract by both parties and a consideration fulfilled via the payment.

The Consumer Rights Act (in the UK) requires delivery within a reasonable period and precludes the situation you find yourself in. A message to Amazon pointing out their failure to comply and the generally sh1tty customer experience may sort it.

Get a worthwhile sized order delivered from TS via Bayshop?
Obviously they will take their cut,but the bottom line will allow you evaluate the actual severity of the issue.
According to a quick googling ,Reisser screws are widely available in France. Including from 'tonton Jeffrey....

Well I "chatted" to Amazon Customer Services, in English, and he said he wold issue a refund now and told me to order again. When I pointed out the price increase, he said not to worry, they would refund the difference once the new order had been delivered.
Fair enough.
