• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Annoyingly my compass plane decided to throw itself off the bench & even though it landed on an extractor hose which was on rubber matting the frog has broken

Now this has sentimental value so I’d really like to repair it & whilst I know it’s a very long shot I wondered if anyone has a donor plane in any condition as long as the frog is intact that I could buy 🤞

Sad day at the office Doug
I may well have the perfect candidate mate.
The frame is in about a dozen pieces but the frog and sole assembly may be okay.
Let me see if I can find which stack of boxes it is in.
Cheers, Andy

Okay, found it and it's definitely a Record.
Sorry about that Doug, unless you want to utilise this lot to make a good one?
I'm not 100% how close they copied Stanley's castings.
Quite remarkable that the untidy welded frame still holds together

It looks very similar @toolsntat, would you be able to bring it along to the extravaganza?
Also if you’ve still got any of those bandsaw blades for sale I’d be interested in buying some more off you.
Thanks again Andy.

This is the Record 0113 that I bought at least two decades ago, thinking it might be 'useful' but it's been sat in a toolbox in the house (not workshop) and has never taken a shaving by me. It's always been stored with the sole dead flat as these things have been known to crack around the rivets; this one is perfick:

This is probably the original blade and there's hardly any wear on it. Yours for £100 + p/p...same price as those rusty hulks on FB - Rob
