Wow, looking at that shed from a distance as in the picture, who would believe what was lurking inside.

I've seen the Series 1 3.8 coupe priced up at £250,000 before.

Someone is certainly going to make a nice profit.

To answer the question posed, a treadmill if I recall correctly :lol: .

Never been a huge fan of the E Type, but certainly would have been a pleasant surprise to find one. Wonder ow much the restoration will cost, sure I have heard that cars are not like houses in that he cost of restoring them usually exceeds the value at the end of the process.

Maybe - truth is I don't know. I'm going by lots of classic car restoration projects I've watched on the tele.

I can't see it being more than 60.

Mechanical 30k
Body 10k
Interior 5k

There you go, 45k restoration.

Auction 40k, resto 45k, sells at 170k = nice.

OK, I'll buy it and contract you to get it restored for a fixed price of £45k signed in blood :lol:

Just read a 2011 thread on piston heads, estimates at that time for concours std restoration were up to £160k for a S1 E Type. One guy on there said it cost him £25k to get one restored in 1988. Another guy said his had coat ver £60k with him doing everything hi self except bodywork. Guess a lot of it comes down to what standard you are aiming for.
