• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

You don't get much for £3 these days.

What the title says. knocked him down from £5 to £3 - I feel a bit guilty now. :?

I haven't been to a boot sale for donkeys years but got the urge last Sunday. The website said buyers from 9am so set off at 8.20 to get there a few minutes early, busy as hell had to park half a mile away, people were streaming out laden with bags and dealers had already started packing up. This was the only decent tool I found, probably missed because it was among a load of kids toys. I found out later that buyers are allowed in at the same time as sellers, 5am  I'm not going to bother again. :eusa-doh:

I must live a sheltered life here in the countryside, this was on the outskirts of Newcastle / Gateshead and I was distinctly out of place among hundreds of various nationalities with different skin colour and language to mine. :eusa-think:

It needs a minor cleen up a bit of adjusting and there's a nick in the blade. Of course I desperately needed another Record 4 1/2.

For that price, you got a good deal.
just sharpen the blade, and see how you get on with it, maybe a bit of candle wax on the sole.

That took me back, I used to manage a very large sports and social club for awhile and we used to have the most humongous car boot sales, as you say parking can be a problem even on a 10 acre site, we used to have people parking on the roundabout outside! Very lucrative but I think only for us, the people sitting there all day and selling things for 20p then complained they haven’t raised enough money for their pitch £6.
And the quality of driving when you’re trying to line people up in nice straight lines is staggeringly bad.
Yes 5 am start and the buyers picking through whilst the cars are being emptied I’m amazed we never had any fights really. Nice find though. Ian
