Nordic Pine
Good morning all, I have a metabo hc260 planer thicknesser and last week the thicknesser bed suddenly stopped going up and down when the drive handle was turned.
Height is controlled by 4 threaded posts, one at each corner, connected by a chain so they all turn when post one is turned.
I diagnosed the problem as the drive cog on post one was just spinning because the pin the goes through the cog into the post and ensures they turn together had dropped out.
I found the pin and after much swearing and frustrating disassembly of the machine managed to reinsert it.
I have now found that the bed is no longer parallel to the cutter. Does anyone have an idea of how I adjust the bed to make it parallel again?
The manual is not great on troubleshooting.
