• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I'm glad for them that I was too far away to remonstrate.
Needed a bit of plasticine to make an impression of something so popped in to "THE WORKS" up town.

Although it does look as if the main thickness of the produc is a dirty great wad of Stuff between the two layers of product.
But yes, technically 20 pieces.
I have no idea whatsoever about how much a packet of plasticene costs. I suspect the last packet I bought was about 1s/3d.

Yes, that wad is cardboard padding.... 50% product 50%padding.
To be honest I had not seen it said 20 pieces as it was only a little bit that I needed and price was not the issue.

yes - I don't think that would be appropriate - if they want to post it they can, but for someone on here to copy their post is technically breach of copyright, and as you say - bad form...
 
Hi, I'm thinking that you may have meant my post in that thread at "the other place" ?
I'm not a plasticine manufacturer, but I do know how to make it ( and other modelling materials ) , and have used it extensively ( still do ), hence my post with some details and information about it there.
I would n't have minded at all if Ian had posted it here, but is is nice that you thought that without permission might not be "good form", very much appreciated that , and Alasdair's concern re copyright.Those two posts , and others that I've read in some other areas of here prompted me to apply to join.Thank you to Alasdair ( I presume ) for the acceptance email :) .This place appears to be more relaxed, I've not read many threads, but so far have n't found anyone posting just to be cantankerous or aggressive. :) It could also be down to very, "on the ball" mods.I notice this post is pre-modded. I appreciate what I know to be time consuming and hard work modding and admining .<- may not be a word .

Yes there are loads of other brands available, is like calling a vac cleaner a Hoover.
For a short time I was employed by Binney & Smith, the American company who manufactured Crayola crayons and we had a modelling clay under the brand name Clayola.

Perhaps you could do us a little hello? Telling us a bit more about your interests and hobbies? As you no doubt realise we have a few members in France and all over the World, it would be interesting actually to note all the countries and numbers.

I can do you a short hello, ( Bonjour, Salut , Aon céal, Demat ) but as Mme is due home from work ( yep , works Sundays, works one week end in 3 , she is a specialised care worker, Alzheimers, Dementia, end of life , terminal cancer patients etc, in their own homes ) and it's me who cooks.I'll be busy til quite a bit later. So it won't be straight away. Tomorrow may be a bit busy too. I'll be around, reading, post if I have time. I also need to explain to someone at the other place how to tell if their architects plan chest is too acidic for storing watercolours , they asked, I kept the tab open to reply, and forgot. mea culpa.
