• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

We complete on the sale of our house early April. Then we hightail it down to Somerset. We had to go for a rental in the short term and so I'll be the advance guard pootling down over a couple of days down B-roads in the Honda S2000, collect the keys and ready for the removal lorries as we're stuffing everything into a double garage and the rental house. Meanwhile the missus will finish closing up the house before coming down the M6/M5.

We've got a place to buy grinding through conveyancing as I type but TBH I'm not in too much of a hurry. You see spring is on its way and so is summer. Just discovered that an excellent windsurfing place is 10 minutes away from the rental and an excellent gliding club a mere 20 minutes away. Haven't plucked up the courage to tell the missus yet.

This will be our last move.
 
That sounds good Roger - hopefully we’ll get a good summer so you can make the most of the windsurfing and gliding.
 
How long is your conveyancing taken? Long chain?

There's an chance that offspring will do a post grad degree next year in Exeter, if she does you can expect a visit...from me not her.
 
Well done Rog. The climate should be far more to your liking. I would like to live in Somerset or Devon. But we need to be close to the Channel Tunnel and Dover.
