• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

OOPs and some.

The only time I've ever got caught was on the A303 heading towards the M3. A patrol car with clearly nothing better to do was pulling motorists over with dirty number plates, where the lettering/numbers are all but legible. If the boys in blue can't read your number plate, you'll get a ticket, so now my 'good deed for the day' during the autumn/lwinter is to inform the yummy mummies in the WR car park that their bigly, huge, vast Merc 'Chelsea tractor' (or similar) is breaking the law.

Same thing also happens when a cycle carrier (with bikes) is on the back of a vehicle and obscures the number plate - Rob

It pays to have front and rear dashcam fitted as long as you're driving within the law of course or it could work against you. I fitted them to both our cars and my daughters immediately after a motorcyclist sideswiped my wife's car.

I fitted the Nextbase 522GW plus the separate rear camera that fixes to the rear window and hardwired them in to all 3 cars. You can alternatively get a rear camera that just plugs into the main unit. Fitting was simple just hiding the front to rear wire a bit fiddly but you can probably get wireless now.
That was probably seven years ago and we've had no issues but Roger bought one after speaking to me and he was far from happy with it. Things have moved on since then Mark so it's homework exercise unfortunately.

Because I was buying three systems and I'm a skinflint at heart, (my eldest of nine kids and council house upbringing which you never lose :ROFLMAO: ) I tried doing a deal with first Currys who were hopeless the Halfords who gave me a heafty discount and more than match the on line prices at the time.

I forgot to say that when we had the motorhome and a little Skoda towcar as well I used to unclip the front camera from my wife's Mini and fit it to the motorhome powered by a usb port and when on site I'd stick it in the Skoda and use the lighter socket so we always had at least a front camera.
