• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

    Oak Sleeper Raised Beds

Hi all, I'm looking to build some raised beds for the veg in the garden to replace the flimsy ones I did 12 years ago. I want something that looks quite solid and structural so was thinking of using oak sleepers as, despite the painful cost, they will hopefully last as long as might want them...

    French holiday house

A colleague of my wife was telling her about some houses for sale in the French village that his family is from and from some initial looking it appears that it would be financially possible for us to buy one. Advice to make this shelf strong enough?

What would be your suggestions for making them strong enough? Surely just glue wouldn’t be enough? Is there a way to...

Hi good folks of WH2, I've been a member here since February and only just noticed that I've never actually made a post  I've already learnt an awful lot though, and even made it the whole way through Mike's epic house build thread  Is there anyone else here from the York area? Tim
