• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

    Oak Staircase

Finished fitting this staircase last week, it was spun round 180 degrees from where the original was, last thing to do was to make and fit the Pigs ear handrail, all the other parts were also made in house, the other half does the finishing touches so these were before she’d been and done.

    Service Boards

Rather than derail @RogerS thread and picking up from your comment @AJB Temple, I'm curious as to what a "service board" looks like , a pal of mine who runs an outside catering business asked me to make some platter type trays for serving, he's also talking about having some with a slate in...

    Window age

This is a curious one, I have made and fitted a replacement for this window, but "we" were trying to estimate it's age, given the style and condition, any body hazard a guess? There was an interesting method of fixing which narrowed it down, not visible until we pulled it out :eusa-think:

Project I am about to embark on needs a fair bit of curved profiles, (lancet head windows) 56mm thick, I have in the past run thinner curved parts either on my high spec table mounted router with a bearing guided 1/2" X 50mm straight cutter (too shallow) or set my bigger spindle moulder up with...

35mm doors into 44mm rebated door lining!

I've got to fit some 35mm doors (already purchased) into 40 year old 44mm, gloss painted, rebated door linings, so my thoughts are on these lines to make up the difference: Rather than just cutting thin strips and then have to fill the inevitable joint line, any one overcome this issue in the...
