• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

We met 55yrs ago whilst in the 6th Form (different schools - single sex in those days) and this weekend it's our Golden Wedding.
How time flies!
Close family party tomorrow but a big family get together in September - we had to book the venue 18 months ago.

Congratulations Rod & Mrs Rod.

11 years for me so only 20% of your time served so far. Hope I make it to your milestone intact. ;)

Cheers
Mark

Many congratulations :eusa-dance:

I've lost count ..can't even remember the year or the day. Neither of us can! :o

Congratulations Rod. Met my Mrs M 40 years ago this year, and married for 38 of them, and never been more than 2 or 3 days apart since the night we met. Have a great family get together - there are fewer opportunities for these than we like to think.

Well done Rod. 35 years and counting here on Oct 26. Google the date to see what happened on Oct 26th 1881...100 years ago to the day and almost the hour :D - Rob

Congratulations Rod!
One does not see a lot of long marriages these days.

We met 43 years ago and married 41 years ago in Feb, just before the end of the tax year to derive all the tax benefits. (planned like a beanie) 8-)

Cheers
Phil

Rod - congratulations . My wife and I met on a blind date 50 years ago , we shall have been married for 47 years in November . I keep reminding her that the first 45 years are the worst , but , oddly , she never laughs at this .

Congratulations :)

Only just seen this as it got bumped up the list. Our 40th was during the holiday we just came back from.

Thanks everybody and congratulations to you youngsters. [emoji3]

Yes, I missed this one too.

Congratulations to you and Mrs Rod! What a milestone and I should think your story with you guys meeting at a young age is probably quite rare these days. 8-)
