• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

I accidentally printed out the Instruction Manual for iMovie - all 161 pages of it!!
It looked quite small on the screen but I didn't notice it had lots of hidden sub paragraphs which opened out.

Before I realised, it had dumped it all into the printers memory and I couldn't find a way of clearing it out?
Switching the printer on and off didn't work.

Not only that, it was for an earlier version and not the new one I was looking for!![emoji20]

Lots of scrap paper to use up now.

LOL....been there, done that. Well, perhaps not a forest worth!

Reason why it carried on printing is probably because it was in your computers spool file. I can't help with a PC but on a Mac you simply open up the print queue and delete the item. And switch the printer off to flush out anything there.

Yip, also been there.

Click on START, Devices Printers, double click on printer and you see the queue and then delete.
(I forget to reset my printer at work and end up printing at another site 100's Km away.) :oops:

Unfortunately it had gone beyond that stage - my printer is a HP laser with a large memory - the PC had dumped everything across - nothing was showing on the PC's printing control/progress.

Every time I switched it back on it carried on printing!

Should have switched it off then pulled the paper tray out. There are power cycle processes to follow to empty the print buffer, just need to google what it is for your printer.
