• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Anyone on today's Vulcan flight path?

I live near a small airport - its been over several times, was over about 4 times on its last day, I was on nights so trying to get some kip, but kept running out to get a photo, and missed it every time!

Dan...there are a couple of programs for both iPhone and Android that will give you the flight path in advance and then in realtime. As it is the last year, they are maximising advance publicity of its route. Also they have a twitter feed that shows the route. It's off to the South East this coming weekend.

Rather good footage here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UkWO5zVPz4g

I am actually telling a fib - I did a get a photo, but its one of those embarrassing "got your camera out too late" ones.. I did think of posting for a laugh! I used to work at the F1 GP at Silverstone when the F1 cars made lots of noise.. the Vulcan at low level straight overhead is the most noisy thing I have ever heard however, the kids were terrified! Its certainly an impressive sight.

I was out cutting the grass this afternoon when a Dakota shortly followed by a Biplane flew over, fairly low down.
Saw a photo in the news that it was part of the VJ Day fly past - it was heading west so presumably heading back to its airport?

No Vulcans though. [emoji53]
