• Hi all and welcome to TheWoodHaven2 brought into the 21st Century, kicking and screaming! We all have Alasdair to thank for the vast bulk of the heavy lifting to get us here, no more so than me because he's taken away a huge burden of responsibility from my shoulders and brought us to this new shiny home, with all your previous content (hopefully) still intact! Please peruse and feed back. There is still plenty to do, like changing the colour scheme, adding the banner graphic, tweaking the odd setting here and there so I have added a new thread in the 'Technical Issues, Bugs and Feature Requests' forum for you to add any issues you find, any missing settings or just anything you'd like to see added/removed from the feature set that Xenforo offers. We will get to everything over the coming weeks so please be patient, but add anything at all to the thread I mention above and we promise to get to them over the next few days/weeks/months. In the meantime, please enjoy!

Our service provider had a wheel off from around 2 am until just now which meant you might have experienced an error message from the forum servers.

Apologies for this and hopefully all is now well.

Refunds to subscriptions will be based on how much membership fees you have paid :lol: :lol:

Yes, host threw a toy out of the pram for a while!

I am accelerating the migration to the new server so will update on that later when I know the potential downtime involved.

Thanks for your patience and apologies again for the outage. As Bob says, compensation will be based on a sliding scale commensurate with your initial financial investment... ;)

The fault would have meant that you would not have been able to access the forum at all?

Have you lost some since then? The favourite trick to lose posts is to either hit preview instead of post or to hit send and ignore the " someone has replied already" message. On my laptop, this is virtually out of view and I've fallen foul of this before.

Mark- the head honcho admin is at work now but if you have had a loss of post other than the above, ping him a PM and he might be able to see something form a back up??

Here you go chaps, the official line from the hosting company. Not ideal that one of their upgrades caused it, but I'm always happy when they can identify an RFO as it gives me confidence that it's not a fundamental issue that will re-occur...

This email update is inline with our conversation earlier. Our administrators were able to resolve the issue and your website is working again. Last night during an ordinary PHP software update came to an error which at some of our Customers led to problems within the internal PHP memory. Our technicians rolled out a global solution. Most of the webpages should be back up now. We will continue to monitor for further impact. We understand the critical nature of these systems to our clients and we sincerely apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

I was disappointed to find Hursley still here this morning.

Had hoped I'd be able to go back home.
 
No explosion - but most folks thought it was one.
Only lasted a few seconds felt and sounded like a heavy lorry hitting the house but from all directions.
People as far away as Petersfield and Bournemouth felt it. The epicentre was at Winnal. Because it was relatively shallow at 3km the 2.9 had more impact.
Britain suffers 200 earthquakes a year with 10 of this magnitude.

I was in a hotel in Greece when they had an earthquake and it felt as if a lorry had actually hit the hotel. Another time the bed was shaking which was interesting to say the least. Put a whole new spin on the phrase 'Did the Earth move for you'.
